Julia Marcell
Julia Marcell , real name Julia Górniewicz (born April 20, 1982 in Olsztyn ) is a Polish singer and pianist . She lives in Germany .
Career
Julia Marcell has been composing her own pieces since she was 14. More than ten years later (2007) she learned to play the piano . In 2007 she released her first EP under the title Storm . In October she collected via crowdfunding on SellaBand 50,000 US dollars could, leaving them with the work on their debut album begin. It Might Like You was produced by Moses Schneider and was released in Germany in 2009. On August 12, 2009, Marcell presented her debut album on Polskie Radio 3 .
On Voltaire's 2008 album To the Bottom of the Sea , she sang a duet with him in the song The Sea . In the same album Voltaire covered her song Accordeon Player .
Since 2010 she has been touring intensively through Germany , the Czech Republic , Poland , Finland , Japan and the USA . On September 30, 2011 she released her second album June on Haldern Pop Recordings . The first single Matrioszka was released on August 17, 2011 . The music video followed ten days later.
With the third studio album Sentiments , released on October 6, 2014 , she switched from electronic pop music to rock music .
Unlike on previous albums, all tracks on their fourth album Proxy , released on March 9, 2016, are in Polish.
