Daniel Botwe

Daniel Botwe (born February 26, 1958 ) is a Ghanaian politician . Since February 2005 he has been Minister for Information in the government of John Agyekum Kufuor . He comes from Anum-Boso in the Eastern Region .

Between 1963 and 1971 he attended Presbyterian elementary and middle school in Mabang-Ahafo in the Ahafo Ano North District in the Ashanti region . He did his GCE- O at the Kumasi Academie and switched to the Achimota School between 1977 and 1979, where he took his GCE-A certificate. Between 1980 and 1984 Botwe completed a degree in computer science at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology , completing this with a bachelor's (BSc).

Since graduating, Botwe worked for various private and public companies, such as the Cocoa Marketing Board between 1985 and 1993. Between 1993 and 1996, Botwe was director of Palb Pharmaceuticals. In 1996 he became director of Danmoud Limited.

Since 1996 Botwe has been director of investigations and events for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). After this position he became general secretary of the NPP in 1998 and was appointed Minister of Information by President Kufuor in February 2005.
