Daniel Helminiak

Daniel A. Helminiak (born November 20, 1942 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American professor, author and Roman Catholic priest .

Helminiak received the Ph.D. in systematic theology from Boston College and Andover Newton Theological School . He also achieved a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin . Helminiak currently holds an extraordinary professor ( associate professor ) at the psychology department of the University of West Georgia .

Helminiak served as a priest in the Roman Catholic Church for 28 years. He is a member of Dignity / Atlanta, a subsidiary of DignityUSA . Helminiak is also a board member of the White Crane Journal , a magazine for "Gay Culture and Wisdom". He is the author of What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality .
