Daniel Mitz
Daniel Mitz (born December 20, 1724 in Basel ; † July 30, 1789 ibid) was a Swiss lawyer and politician.
Life
Daniel Mitz studied law at the University of Basel , where he obtained the academic title of lic. Iur acquired. After three unsuccessful applications for a professorship in Basel, he embarked on a civil service career: in 1760 he was elected to the Small Council. In 1777 he was appointed chief guild master and in the same year that of mayor, which he held until the end of his life.
