Daniel Rupf (soccer player, 1967)
Daniel Rupf (born April 25, 1967 ) is a former Swiss football player and sports official. He was overall director of Euro 2008 Zurich.
In addition to his playing career, he studied business administration at the University of Zurich . He then started his professional career in 1996 at Tele Züri. From 1997 to 2003, as Head of World Cup Events at FIFA , he managed various major projects, including the Club World Cup in Brazil in 2000 and the World Cup in 2002 in South Korea and Japan . Daniel Rupf is married and has one daughter.
Sports stations
- From 1989 to 1992 he played for FC Wettingen in the National League A .
- Until 1993 he was with FC Aarau , with whom he became Swiss champion.
- From July 1993 to June 1996 he was a defender for FC Winterthur .
Rupf also has trainer diplomas for the young and amateur sector.
