Daniel Sauer (born October 18, 1981 in Würzburg ) is a former German handball player and today's football official.

Career

Daniel Sauer was at home in the left back space. But mainly he was used as a central defender. He is 1.93 m tall and weighs 100 kilograms.

Sauer made his debut in September 2006 for HBW Balingen-Weilstetten in the Bundesliga. He came from the former German second division club HSC Bad Neustadt in 2004. His home club is the SG / DJK Rimpar.

For the 2012/13 season Daniel Sauer returned to his hometown club, whose men's team debuted as DJK Rimpar Wölfe in the 2nd division of the German Handball Federation. At the same time he took over the management of DJK Rimparer Wölfe GmbH. After the 2013/14 season, Sauer ended his active career, but the DJK Rimpar remained as managing director.

In December 2015 Daniel Sauer left Wolves and switched to professional football as chairman of the board. His new employer, the Würzburger Kickers , played in the 2nd Bundesliga.

education

From 2001 to 2008, Sauer studied business administration at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg and the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . He then began his doctorate in 2008 at the Distance University in Hagen .
