Daniel Schimkowitsch

Daniel Schimkowitsch (born January 2, 1985 in Fürstenfeldbruck ) is a German chef.

Career

The Ketschauer Hof

After his training at the Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Schimkowitsch went to the Burghotel Wernberg with Christian Jürgens in 2004 (two Michelin stars ). With Jürgens, he moved to the gourmet restaurant Überfahrt in Rottach-Egern in July 2008 . He cooked for five and a half years at Jürgens.

In July 2009 Schimkowitsch became head chef at the Tramin restaurant in Munich, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2012.

In January 2014 he switched to the Ketschauer Hof in Deidesheim as head chef . Here, too, his LA Jordan restaurant (named after Ludwig Andreas Jordan ) was awarded a Michelin star.

His French-oriented cuisine is accentuated with Asian flavors.
