Daniel Steinhofer (born July 29, 1978 in Lustenau ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and insurance employee. Steinhofer was a member of the Vorarlberg State Parliament from 2014 to 2019 and has been Lustenau Vice Mayor since 2019.

Political activity

Community level

Daniel Steinhofer took over a political office for the first time after the municipal council elections in 2005, when he became a substitute member of the municipal council of his home municipality Lustenau for one legislative period . Following the local council elections in 2010 was Steinhofer member of the municipal council and from the council in charge of Culture, the Historical Archive of the market town, the Rhine Valley Music School, the Reichshof hall and the monuments in the parish council elected.

He has also been chairman of the ÖAAB in Lustenau since 2010, and since December 2014 also local party chairman of the ÖVP Lustenau. On June 2, 2015 Steinhofer was elected district party chairman of the ÖVP in the Dornbirn district.

Daniel Steinhofer has been Vice Mayor of Lustenau since February 27, 2019.

State level

After the state elections in 2014 , Daniel Steinhofer moved into the Vorarlberg state parliament on a basic mandate in the constituency of Dornbirn as a replacement for state councilor Christian Bernhard . In the state parliament he was area spokesman for the topics of transport and infrastructure as well as culture for the ÖVP state parliament club. After the state elections in 2019 , Steinhofer left the state parliament as a member.

Private

Daniel Steinhofer is married, has three children and lives with his family in Lustenau.
