Daniel Wittwer (born April 16, 1959 ) is a Swiss politician ( EDU ).

biography

Wittwer has been active in the financial sector (insurance and banking) since 1984 and has been an independent consultant since 1998. He is a dipl. Financial Consultant NDS FH and Federal. dipl. Insurance specialist.

From 1999 to 2002 Wittwer was president of the EDU district party in Bischofszell . He has been a councilor in the canton of Thurgau since 2000 . From 2002 to 2004 he was a member of the management of EDU Switzerland, and since 2004 he has been President of EDU Thurgau. In the 2003 elections to the Council of States , Wittwer landed in fourth place with 8900 votes. In 2005, he took part in a campaign against the planned construction of an administrative building, which was ultimately prevented in a referendum. In 2008 he ran for the Thurgau government council and reached sixth place with around 7400 votes less than government councilor Claudius Graf-Schelling .

Daniel Wittwer is married and has five children. He has lived in Sitterdorf since 1984 .
