Daniele Luchetti (born July 26, 1960 in Rome ) is an Italian film director , screenwriter and actor .

Life

Luchetti attended the "Scuola di Cinema Gaumont" from 1980 to 1982 and submitted the short film Cccfoxilwes for the final examination , which he had followed by a second, contained in the episode film Juke box . After two assistant directors for Nanni Moretti , his feature film debut appeared in 1987, the amusing Domani accadrà, set in Tuscany in 1848 . Even La settimana della sfinge was a successful comedy . After Il portaborse , which showed a mature Luchetti, and the underrated Arriva la bufera , he achieved his greatest success to date with La scuola, not least because of the performance shown. In 2003 he shot another comedy with Dillo con parole miei , which went almost unnoticed. Mio fratello è figlio unico was inspired and well received by Antonio Pennacchi's novel "Il fasciocomunista". His 2010 film La nostra vita was the only Italian contribution to the Cannes Festival in 2010 .

In addition to his work in production, he has also appeared a few times as an actor, for example in Nanni Moretti's film Bianca (1984). Again and again he took part in community projects, such as Un altro mondo è possibile (2001) or All Human Rights for All (2008).

The works of François Truffaut have had a major influence on his films, which, as critics note, are "in their direct nature acts of love between the director and the audience" .
