Danielle Zimmermann

Danielle Zimmermann (* 1974 in Hechingen ) is a German artist . Her works are usually not created on classic canvas, instead she uses plastic bags and supermarket cardboard as a basis. In her work, she deals with current social issues such as advertising, consumption, the image of women in the media and the use of plastic packaging in Pop Art style.

Life

Danielle Zimmermann studied from 1995 to 2001 at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart , and from 2002 to 2003 at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She has received several awards and grants in Germany and the USA for her artistic work. She lives and works in Stuttgart .
