Danju (formerly Dajuan , bourgeois Johannes Lieb ) is a German rapper from Stuttgart . He was best known for working with the rapper Cro , with whom he has been making music since his youth.

Career

Danju became enthusiastic about music at the age of 14 and learned to play the trumpet and guitar . A little later he came into contact with the rapper Cro and has been making music with him ever since. He was featured with guest contributions on Cros Mixtapes Trash , Meine Musik and Easy , and in 2012 he released his first mixtape Play . After Cross's commercial breakthrough, he recorded the song Höhenangst for his mixtape Sunny in 2013 .

From 2013 he was under contract with the label Chimperator Productions . In April 2014, Danju's second mixtape Cali was finally released . In the same year he was featured on Cro's second studio album Melodie on the song Meine Gang (Bang Bang) . The title, for which a music video was also shot, reached number 75 in the German charts and stayed in the top 100 for five weeks. In 2015 he changed his stage name from Dajuan to Danju.

On April 8, 2016, Danju's debut album Stoned was released , which reached number 12 in the German charts.

On April 29, 2017, Danju announced the separation from his previous label Chimperator Productions on Twitter. In the same year he published his mixtape Auf der Wolke . Since then he has been under contract with the Guzgang label .

Danju's second studio album Day 1 was released on July 26, 2019.
