Danny DiLiberto (born February 19, 1935 in Buffalo ) is an American pool player .

Career

In 1960 and 1961 DiLiberto won the Straight Pool City Championship, in 1962 he won the New York State Championship and in 1963 and 1969 the US Masters in 14/1 endless . In 1972 he won the Tournament of Champions and the World All Around Champions. Nine years later, he defeated Nick Varner in the final of the BCA National 8-Ball Tournament. After winning the Busch Southern Classic 9-ball tournament in 1982 , he won the World Tournament in One Pocket in 1983 . In 1984 he won the Classic Cup, 1985 the Eastern States 14/1 Tournament and 1989 the Western States 9-Ball Tournament. In 1996 he won the Senior 9-Ball Tour, in 1997 the French Open and in 1998 the French National 9-Ball Tournament.

At the Derby City Classic 1999 DiLiberto was eighth in the One Pocket, in 2003 he reached 13th place in the Senior Masters, in 2006 he finished 121st in two tournaments on the International Pool Tour.

Danny DiLiberto was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Billiard Congress of America during the US Open in October 2011 .

Others

Before DiLiberto played pool he was a professional boxer . He is also said to have played a perfect bowling game.
