Danny Washington

Danny Washington (born October 25, 1985 ) is a former German football player .

career

Washington comes from the Darmstadt Diamonds youth department . There he played until 2002, then with the Weinheim Longhorns in youth and in the top German league, the GFL . The 1.85-meter Washington was mostly used as a running back during his career , sometimes as a defender and quarterback . After the end of the 2009 season, Washington left Weinheim and joined the Marburg Mercenaries , in 2011 he switched to the Rhein-Neckar Bandits and stayed there until 2014. In the run-up to the 2015 season, he joined the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns squad . With the Hallers, Washington won the German championship in 2017 and 2018, after the second title he retired as a player from the performance area.

National team

In 2010 and 2014, Washington became European champions with the German national team. He also took part in the 2011 World Cup and finished the tournament with the German selection in fifth place.
