Danyang (Zhenjiang)

The city of Danyang ( Chinese  丹阳 市 , Pinyin Dānyáng Shì ) is an independent city in the district-free city of Zhenjiang in the southwestern part of Jiangsu Province in the People's Republic of China . It has an area of ​​1,023 km² and has 800,000 inhabitants.

The stone inscriptions of the mausoleums of the Southern Dynasties of Danyang (Danyang Nanchao lingmu shike 丹阳 南朝 陵墓 石刻) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-168) since 1988 .
