Gdansk trilogy
The Gdańsk trilogy includes the three novels The Tin Drum (1959), Katz und Maus (1961) and Dog Years (1963) by the author Günter Grass , who was born in Gdańsk , but which are related to events, characters and circumstances.
All three works are set in Gdansk and can be classified immediately before, during and shortly after the Second World War .
In Grass' novella Im Krebsgang (2002) the trilogy is continued in the present in that some characters known from the trilogy appear there and some events are mentioned.
