Dar Taizzah ( Arabic دار تعزة), also Dar Taaza and Daret Azzeh , is a Syrian city ​​with 55,000 inhabitants (2009) in the area of ​​the World Heritage Site Dead Cities 20 km west of Aleppo .

The Byzantine church ruin Mushabbak is about 3 km from the village.

During the Syrian Civil War , the settlement was the site of a massacre in June 2012 in which at least 25 people lost their lives. The city, held by the Free Syrian Army , came under heavy fire over and over again as the war progressed.
