Dardo Sánchez

Dardo Sánchez Cal (born April 4, 1957 in Treinta y Tres ) is a Uruguayan politician and lawyer.

Sánchez's educational path led through the Escuela No. 25 "José Pedro Varela" and the Liceo No. 1 "Nilo Goyoaga" in his native city. He then studied law in Montevideo and successfully graduated from the law faculty of the Universidad de la República in 1986. Sánchez is a member of the Partido Nacional . In 1994 he ran unsuccessfully for Lista 36 for a seat as a member of the Cámara de Representantes . From 1996 to 1997 he was President of the Junta Departamental in his native Treinta y Tres . From 1997 to 2000 he sat as Edil in this departmental parliament. In the 1999 parliamentary elections, he again applied - again unsuccessfully - for a member of the parliament, this time with Lista 8, which he co-founded a year earlier . In 2004 he was elected deputy in the Chamber of Deputies. Between 2005 and 2007 he worked as Edil in the Junta Departamental, but then moved again to the Cámara de Representantes in 2007 until 2009 . In the local elections on May 9, 2010 , he ran as a candidate for the office of Intendente of the Treinta y Tres Department and won. He is now entrusted with this function until 2015.
