Darius Raulušaitis

Darius Raulušaitis (born June 27, 1975 in the Kaunas district municipality ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, acting Attorney General of Lithuania .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Varėna in 1993 , Raulušaitis graduated from Lietuvos teisės akademija (MRU) with a bachelor's degree in 1998 and a diploma from Vilniaus universitetas in 2002 . From 1996 to 1999 he worked as an inspector at Vadovybės apsaugos departamentas at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania , from 1999 to 2003 as a public prosecutor in the district of Vilnius , from 2003 to 2004 in the Vilnius District Prosecutor , from 2004 in the General Prosecutor of Lithuania , from July 2010 as Deputy General Prosecutor of Lithuania (appointed by Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė ). Since May 2014 he has been Acting Attorney General (instead of Darius Valys ).

Raulušaitis is married and has a son and a daughter with his wife Aistė Raulušaitienė, head nurse at VšĮ Centro poliklinika and vice-president of the Lithuanian Nursing Organization .
