Darja Andrejewna Dmitrijewa ( Russian Дарья Андреевна Дмитриева ; born June 22, 1993 in Irkutsk , Russia ) is a Russian rhythmic gymnast . Her greatest successes include two silver and two bronze medals at the 2010 World Gymnastics Championships in Moscow , a silver medal at the 2011 European Championships in Minsk and a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London .

Athletic career

Darja Dmitrijewa comes from Irkutsk in Siberia, where she also started with gymnastics. In 2009 the then still unknown gymnast surprised by winning the internationally important gymnastics tournament in Corbeil-Essonnes in France. She became part of the Russian national team and has since participated successfully in international championships several times. Her personal trainer is Olga Bujanowa , who has coached several internationally successful Russian gymnasts.
