Darko Jukić (born August 23, 1990 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish basketball player of Montenegrin  descent.

career

Jukić was trained first in the youth department of the Copenhagen club Stevnsgade Basketball , then the Falcon Basketball Club in Frederiksberg . In 2009, the strong winger moved to the Bundesliga club Ratiopharm Ulm and stayed in Germany for a year. During this time, Jukić was used in particular in the Ulm youth division, in the basketball Bundesliga , he played only one game.

In 2010 Zarko Jukić's brother returned to Denmark and played for Aabyhøj IF in the country's first division until 2012 . After already good performances in Aabyhøj, he made  the leap to the outstanding player in the Danish league in the 2012/13 season in the colors of Horsens IC . Jukić came in 36 missions for Horsens on averages of 21.4 points, 9 rebounds and 3.6 basket assists. He then ventured abroad again and accepted an offer from Fileni BPA Jesi during the 2013 summer break. In 18 games for the Italian second division club, the Dane scored an average of 8.4 points per use.

In the 2014/15 season he became  Swedish champion with the Södertälje Kings . Jukić was one of the pillars of the championship team and scored an average of 15.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per encounter in 47 league games. With Södertalje, he also entered a European club competition for the first time in his career, namely the EuroChallenge . In 2015/16 Jukić was in the service of Bakken Bears , got 13.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.5 basket assists per use and was Danish runner-up. By eurobasket.com he was named the best Danish player in the league in the 2015/16 season. He also set the tone at the European level and scored 15.2 points per game in the FIBA Europe Cup .

In 2016/17 Jukić played for the Slovenian first division club Krka Novo Mesto and returned to the Bakken Bears in Denmark in 2017. With the team from Aarhus , he became Danish champions in 2018 and 2019 and contributed to the successes as a key player. He was also represented again with Bakken in the FIBA ​​Europe Cup.

With the Danish national team, Jukić took part in elimination rounds for the European Championship.
