Zarko Jukić (born July 28, 1993 in Copenhagen ) is a Serbian - Danish basketball player .

career

Jukić, whose older brother Darko also had a competitive basketball career, played as a youth at Stevnsgade in Copenhagen, in 2011 he moved to the first division club Hørsholm 79ers , where he played until 2014. In his last season in Hørsholm (2013/14) the winger triumphed with an average of 14.5 points per match and then moved to Sweden to KFUM Nässjö Basket . Jukić was in 28 games for Nässjö on the field and scored an average of 10.7 points per game. After a year of play he bought himself out of his contract in order  to be able to switch to the Norrköping Dolphins within the Swedish league . With Norrköping he was runner-up and achieved an average of 6.1 points per match during the 2015/16 season.

He continued his career with the Spanish second division club Ourense Baloncesto , where he was under contract in the 2016/17 season, but only got a minor role there. Jukić scored 2.7 points on average in 37 games. In the summer of 2017 he signed a contract with the English first division club Newcastle Eagles and stood out there with his spectacular style of play. In 30 main round games for Newcastle he averaged 9.1 points and 6 rebounds, 2.2 basket assists and 1.8 ball wins per game.

Albacete Basket from Spain's third division was the club that gave Jukić a contract in the run-up to the 2018/19 season. He played 32 games for the team, his averages were 6.7 points and 4.4 rebounds. For the 2019/20 season he returned to Denmark and joined the first division team FOG Næstved .

National team

Jukić, who was born and raised in Denmark, did not initially have a Danish passport. After he had accepted the Danish citizenship, he was appointed to the national team, with which he took part in the European Championship qualification, among other things.
