Club Ourense Baloncesto (also known as Aquas De Sousas Club Ourense Baloncesto ) is a Spanish basketball club based in Ourense .
history
The association was founded in 1979. He started in the fourth division and in 1986 fought his way to the second division. There succeeded in the 1988/89 season promotion to the ACB league , since the club won the championship. A total of ten seasons followed in the highest basketball league in Spain, nine of them in a row. In 1993 and 1994 Ourense reached the quarter-finals of the play-offs for the championship. They both failed against FC Barcelona and Club Baloncesto Estudiantes . Since relegation from the ACB League in 2001, the club has not made it back there. Instead, the team switched between the second and third division. In the 2012/13 season the club plays in the second division, Liga Española de Baloncesto.
The club took part in the FIBA EuroCup Challenge in the 2002/03 season and was eliminated in the second group stage.
