Jonathan Monyongo Kale (born October 18, 1985 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American - Ivorian basketball player .

Although Kale was born in the United States, he is also a citizen of Ivory Coast. One of the greatest successes of his career was the silver medal at the 2009 African Basketball Championship in Libya, where Kale scored 5.6 points per 15.3 minutes of play and achieved 3.6 rebounds per game. After completing his studies in his native country, Kale joined the German first division promoted Phoenix Hagen after he had previously failed to come to an agreement with the Polish first division club Anwil Włocławek . After relegation with the Hagen club in the 2009/10 basketball league , Kale moved to Spain in their second league, LEB Oro . In the 2012/13 season he was under contract with the newly promoted Leyma Natura Basket from A Coruña , Galicia , which is now his third club in this division. For the 2013/14 season he moved to ourense Termal club , which also plays in the second Spanish division.
