action

Darkstars describes the adventures of a police force of the same name operating throughout the universe. On behalf of the so-called controllers, a spiritualized extraterrestrial race that strived to restore order and security in space, the Darkstars fight a wide variety of threats.

The Darkstars Corps (also Network for the Establishment and Maintenance of Order, NEMO), as the entirety of the Darkstars calls themselves, is recruited from members of the most diverse races occurring in the universe, who are equipped by the controllers with futuristic combat suits that give them the most diverse Give martial skills: Their suits allow the Darkstars to fly, surround themselves with force fields, fire energy beams and more. In addition to established characters such as John Stewart (who previously appeared in the Green Lantern series) and Donna Troy (as Wondergirl, the junior partner of the heroine of the series Wonder Woman ), the Darkstars also owned countless characters that have appeared in other DC Comics series for decades for the series newly created figures such as Ferrin Colos, Xax, Varix and Galius Zed. Other characters were Sleer Prigatz, Captain Zifor, Chaser Bron, Munchuk, Merayn Dethalis, Nuvah Jeddigar, Vollika Rahn, Medphyll, Humans, Carla White, Mo Douglas, John Flint and Charlie Vicker.

The stories in the series usually described the efforts of individual dark stars or groups of dark stars to banish various threats. The Darkstars fight against space desperados like Evil Star or conquerors like the murderous Grayven. After all, it is Grayven who inflicts heavy losses on the Dark Star Corps during a war on the planet Rann - with the result that the rest of the corps disintegrates after the victory over Grayven.
