Darrell Castle (born October 11, 1948 in Kingsport , Tennessee ) is an American politician of the paleoconservative Constitution Party and lawyer. After Castle was nominated for the office of Vice President for his party in the 2008 presidential election (as running mate Chuck Baldwins ), he served as a presidential candidate for this in 2016 .

In addition to his running for vice presidency, Castle was also vice chairman of the Constitution Party and unsuccessfully ran for his party's presidential nomination in 2012 when he lost to Virgil Goode . In 2016 he was finally able to secure the nomination. He was only considered in very few polls and was considered a hopeless candidate for the presidency. His nominee for the vice presidency was Scott Bradley , a Utah businessman . The Castle / Bradley ticket received 203,010 votes or 0.15% of all votes cast and thus the 6th most of all candidates. Votes for the Electoral College could not be won.

Castle is a full time attorney and a partner in Darrell Castle and Associates , which has multiple offices in the United States. He is a Calvinist , married and has one child with his wife, Joan.
