Darren Chiacchia

Darren Chiacchia (born September 18, 1964 in Buffalo ) is an American eventing rider from Ocala in the US state of Florida .

Life

In 2004 he took part in the Summer Olympics with Windfall . He reached twelfth place in the individual ranking and won the team bronze medal with the US Olympic team. In 2008 he fell from his horse in a competition and suffered serious injuries.

He got into the media coverage in 2010 due to a procedure due to the infection of a multiple sexual partner with the HI virus . The two had met on a contact portal with a gay target group.

In October 2012, it was announced that Chiacchia had meningitis . He is one of a group of over 100 people in the United States who became infected from a contaminated back pain drug.
