Rolf Wollner

Rolf Wollner (born April 28, 1906 in Leipzig ; † July 6, 1988 there ) was a German hockey player .

Rolf Wollner belonged to the dominant German hockey club in the 1920s, the Leipziger SC . He made his debut in 1927 in the German national hockey team . At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , five Leipzigers were part of the squad: Georg Brunner , Heinz Förstendorf , Werner Freyberg , Werner Proft and Rolf Wollner. Wollner only played in the opening game against Spain in Amsterdam. In the game for third place against Belgium, his teammates beat the Belgians 3-0 and Wollner received the bronze medal with the German team. Rolf Wollner played a total of 12 international matches from 1927 to 1931.
