Werner Freyberg
Werner Freyberg (born July 29, 1902 in Leipzig ; † January 15, 1973 there ) was a German hockey player .
Werner Freyberg belonged to the dominant German hockey club in the 1920s, the Leipziger SC . He made his debut in 1926 in the German national hockey team . At the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam were among Georg Brunner , Heinz Förste village , Werner Freyberg, Werner Proft and Rolf Wollner five Leipziger squad. Freyberg played two games in Amsterdam, against France and in the third place match against Belgium. In that game, the German team beat the Belgians 3-0 and Freyberg received the bronze medal. Werner Freyberg played a total of 4 international matches from 1926 to 1928.
