Werner Proft

Werner Proft (born August 12, 1901 in Berlin ; † unknown) was a German hockey player .

Werner Proft belonged to the dominant German hockey club in the 1920s, the Leipziger SC . He made his debut in 1927 in the German national hockey team . At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , five Leipzigers were part of the squad: Georg Brunner , Heinz Förstendorf , Werner Freyberg , Werner Proft and Rolf Wollner . Proft played as a defender in three games, including the game for third place against Belgium, which the German team won 3-0. Werner Proft played a total of six international matches from 1927 to 1928.
