The poster. Journal of the Verein der Posterfreunde eV
The poster was a magazine published at the beginning of the 20th century , with the particular aim of promoting contemporary artistic design of posters and advertising graphics . The magazine appeared from 1910 under the title Mitteilungen des Verein der Posterfreunde (VDP) and was published by the club's co-founder and poster collector Hans Sachs in Berlin-Nikolassee on behalf of the VDP.
The art magazine appeared in 1910 with an edition of only 200 copies, while in 1916, for example, 3,000 copies left the printing presses.
The last edition in the course of the dissolution of the VDP in 1920 appeared in the following year 1921.
