The totally forged secret diary of Mrs. Merkel's husband is a satire that was published in 2013 by Verlag Fischer Scherz . It was written by a conglomerate of authors who wanted to remain anonymous. The associated audio book was read in by Christoph Maria Herbst and was on the Spiegel bestseller list for 7 weeks (category audio books fiction / non-fiction).

The book is a fictional diary of Joachim Sauer , the husband of German Chancellor Angela Merkel , and describes the everyday life of the two as the authors thought it up. It starts on December 31st, 2011 with good resolutions for the new year and a phone call from Christian Wulff .
