Ali Khadivar ( Persian علی خدیور; * November 11, 1989 in Kish ) is an Iranian sprinter who competes over 200 and 400 meters .

Athletic career

Ali Khadivar gained his first experience in international championships at the Islamic Solidarity Games 2017 in Baku , where he won the bronze medal over 400 meters behind the Bahraini Ali Khamis Khamis and Winston George from Guyana in 45.92 seconds . He then took part in the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar , reached the semi-finals over 200 meters, in which he was eliminated with 21.28 s and finished seventh in the final over 400 meters in 46.95 s. At the beginning of September he finished fourth over 400 meters at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat with 47.04 s. In 2018 he took part in the Asian Indoor Championships in Tehran , where he finished fifth over 400 meters in 47.57 s and won the bronze medal behind with the Iranian 4 x 400 meter relay with a new national record of 3: 11.74 minutes the teams from Qatar and Kazakhstan. Shortly afterwards he set a new indoor record over 400 meters in Istanbul with 46.95 seconds. At the Asian Games in Jakarta , he could not finish his 400 meter run.

In 2019 Khadivar became Iranian champion in the 200-meter run outdoors and in 2017 indoor champion over 400 meters.
