Daschtschoinchorlon Chiid

Daschtschoinchorlon Chiid Mongolian Дашчойнхорлон хийд is a Buddhist monastery in the city of Dsuunmod , the capital of the Central Aimag of Mongolia . It is located around 700 meters east of the city center, 1529 m. ü. d. M. and 43 kilometers south of the capital Ulaanbaatar .

In 1937 the monastery was destroyed during the Stalinist terror in Mongolia . The re-establishment took place at the beginning of the 1990s. The reconstruction was financed exclusively through donations. In contrast to the larger and better-known Manschir Chiid monastery , which is a few kilometers outside Zuunmod, it is now used again for religious purposes and is once again inhabited by monks. The usual ceremonies in Lamaist Buddhism begin at around 11 a.m. every day.
