Elfriede Datzig (also Datzik according to grave) (born July 26, 1922 in Vienna , † January 27, 1946 in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden ) was an Austrian film actress .

Life

Elfriede Datzig came to film in Vienna in 1937 at the age of fifteen. Her first film role was that of a young student in Géza from Bolváry's comedy Finale . As a performer of fresh, unproblematic young girls, the spirited dark-haired performer immediately became popular. With Hans Moser in the role of her father or paternal protector, she formed a proven team in six films. Her biggest appearances were in the films My Daughter Lives in Vienna (1940), Travel Acquaintance and Black on White (both 1943) and Seven Letters (1943/44).

Elfriede Datzig had been married to fellow actor Albert Hehn since December 24, 1943 , with whom she had a son, Christoph Michael (* 1944). She died at the age of 23 from an allergic reaction to penicillin , which she was being treated for for pleurisy and pleurisy. She is buried in the cemetery of the town of Horn (Lower Austria). Her parents Maria Datzik (1902–1983) and Viktor Datzik (1898–1953) lived here.
