Dave Stevenson
Dave Stevenson (actually David Deas Stevenson; born November 28, 1941 in Hawick ) is a former British pole vaulter .
In 1962 he was starting for Scotland at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth tenth.
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he was eliminated from qualification.
He finished fourth at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 and ninth at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh.
Eight times he was Scottish champion (1962-1964, 1966-1970) and once English indoor champion (1965). He set his personal best of 4.68 m on July 20, 1968 in Gourock .
