Dave Wilson

Dave Wilson (* 22. August 1955 in Bronxville ) is an American jazz - saxophonist (tenor and soprano saxophone).

Wilson lived in Lancaster (Pennsylvania) from 1983 and has since worked with his own formations, including a. with his quartet Crazeology . In addition, together with trumpeter Ben Mauger, he leads an ensemble dedicated to traditional jazz / New Orleans jazz , Canal Street Hot 6 , with whom he released the album Back in the Day . Wilson also played as a freelance musician in various big bands and smaller ensembles in and around Pennsylvania. In 2002 he made his debut album Through the Time with a rhythm section made up of Kirk Reese (piano), Steve Meashey (bass) and Jeff Stabley (drums). After the album My Time , his album Spiral was released in 2010 , in which Phil Markowitz and Adam Nussbaum participated, and which includes, in addition to Wilson's own compositions, cover versions of Grateful Dead , Creed and Ambrosia .
