David Bissett (born September 29, 1979 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian bobsledder .

David Bissett, actually running back on the Canadian Football team at the University of Alberta , only got into bobsleigh in mid-November 2005. Three months later, he joined both in twos (11) and (18) in the four-man bobsleigh pilot Serge Despres in the Olympic Games of Turin on. Before the Games, he only competed five World Cup races, all in January 2006. For the 2006/07 season he switched to the bobsleigh of world-class driver Pierre Lueders . During the season he did not have a worse placement than sixth place in any World Cup race with his participation. In Koenigssee he won a world cup for the first time in Lueder's four-man bobsleigh. In the overall World Cup, he and Lueders took second place in the two-man bobsleigh and third place in the four-man bobsleigh. At the 2007 Bobsleigh World Championship in St. Moritz , the doubles came seventh in the four-man bobsleigh, and the Lueders team won the silver medal in the two-man bobsleigh.
