David Bowman (born September 23, 1983 in St. Catharines , Ontario ) is an Italian - Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with SG Cortina in the Italian A1 series since September 2011 .

Career

David Bowman began his career as a hockey player with the Windsor Spitfires , for which he was active from 2000 to 2004 in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League . He then received a professional contract with the Johnstown Chiefs from the ECHL , for which he scored five goals in 71 games in the 2004/05 season and gave 16 templates. The following season the defender spent with the Dundas Real McCoys from the Ontario Hockey Association .

From 2006 to 2009 Bowman attended the University of New Brunswick , for whose ice hockey team he participated in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport and with which he was CIS champion in 2007 and 2009. From the 2009/10 season , the Italian-Canadian played in the Italian Serie A1 for HC Alleghe . In early September 2011, the defender was signed by league rivals SG Cortina .
