David Burnham

David Burnham (* 1933 ) is an American author and investigative journalist based in Washington, DC . He attended Harvard University and began working as a journalist in 1958. He became known in 1970 when he wrote a series of articles for The New York Times on police corruption. He is also known for his series of articles on the union activist Karen Silkwood .

He is co-founder and one of the directors of the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, a project of the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University .
