David Bushnell (inventor)
David Bushnell (born August 30, 1740 in Saybrook , Colony of Connecticut , † 1824 in Warrenton , Georgia ) was an American inventor at the time of the American War of Liberation .

In addition, the Turtle was also the first submarine to be used in the course of a war.
