David Childs (musician)

David Childs (* 1981 in England ) is a British euphonist .

Life

David Childs' grandfather John Childs was a well-known euphonist, his father Robert Childs and his uncle Nicholas Childs are well-known euphonists and are among the most successful brass band conductors in Europe. David Childs won the brass instruments category in the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition in 2000 . In the years that followed he was named Euphonium Player of the Year several times . David Childs has been a soloist in the Cory Band since the summer of 2002 . David Childs has performed in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Europe and the USA, among others. His seven CD productions to date with virtuoso and solemn solo works have found worldwide recognition. David is a " Besson Artist ".
