David Dalglish

David Dalglish (born April 2, 1984 in Fort Lauderdale ) is an American writer in the field of fantasy literature .

life and work

Dalglish studied and graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a degree in mathematics in 2006. He lives in Missouri and has had various jobs in addition to his writing activities. In 2010 he published his first novel The Weight of Blood in self-publishing . Until 2013 he published a total of 15 novels as e-books in self-publishing, before he signed his first contract with Orbit Books to professionally publish the already partially self-published The Shadowdance Series . In the same year he signed a deal with 47North , an imprint of Amazon Publishing , to run his new series The Breaking World .

In 2014, the first volume of the shadow dancer series was published under the title The Dancer of Shadows in Germany by Blanvalet Verlag in the Random House publishing group . As a result, four more volumes were published, some only as eBooks.

All of Dalglish's novels are set in the fictional world of Dezrel, and most of them are self-published by him: The Half-Orcs is a series inspired by the works of RA Salvatore . It is about a brother pair of half-orcs. The Shadowdance Series is a series whose main characters are thieves and assassins . The Paladins and The Breaking World , published by 47North , deal with the creation of the world and the war of the gods and have many references to the earlier series. Dalgish was also the editor and lead author of the A Land of Ash short story collection , which deals with a Yellowstone eruption .
