David Depenau

David Depenau (born November 1, 1970 in Karlsruhe ) is a German hotelier and author .

Life

After training as a restaurant specialist, attending the hotel management school in Heidelberg (1998–2000) and studying business administration with a specialization in tourism at the ADG Business School in Montabaur, with a BA degree, Depenau went through various professional positions at home and abroad. Since 2010 he has been managing director of Weissenhäuser Strand , a holiday and leisure park on the Baltic Sea and, since 2012, also managing director of the local health resort company. Depenau has been treasurer on the board of the Hoteldirektorenvereinigung Deutschland eV (HDV) since 2007 , and has been its deputy chairman since 2016. He has also been a member of the European Hotel Manager Association (EHMA) since 2019. He has been a member of the plenary assembly of the Lübeck Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2016, a member of the DIHK Tourism Committee in Berlin and also a member of the Rotary Club Oldenburg / Holstein, in the 2018/19 club year he was the club's president. Depenau has published various books, including on regional-cultural topics in the area of local nonsense . He lived in Karlsbad (Baden) for a long time .
