David Elphinstone (architect)

David Elphinstone (* 1847 ; † 1916 ) was an Australian architect and builder. At the end of the 19th century he constructed many buildings in New South Wales in Glebe and Ashfield .

Elphinstone was part of a family of architects and builders. He was the son of Alexander Elphinstone and the father of David Bruce Elphinstone (* 1880), who also became an architect.

Elphinstone entered the building trade in 1868 as a carpenter under his father's tutelage.
