David Furnish

David Furnish (born October 26, 1962 in Toronto ) is a Canadian film producer and director . He was best known for the documentary Elton John: Tantrums and Tiaras . He is also a regular contributor to Interview magazine .

Furnish is a former advertising designer. In 1993 he met the singer and composer Elton John at a Halloween party ; the two have been living in a registered civil partnership since December 2005. They got married in December 2014.

In December 2010, a surrogate mother gave birth to the couple's son in a clinic in California . Elton John and David Furnish were entered as parents on the birth papers. Another son of the couple was born in January 2013 in California by the same surrogate mother. Lady Gaga is the godmother of both children .
