David Geisser
David Geisser (born April 5, 1990 in Zurich , Switzerland ) is a Swiss chef, author and young entrepreneur.
Career
At the age of eighteen he designed a cookbook with his thesis at school under the title “Around the world with 80 plates” and made it into the national media. This was followed by various articles in print media and television appearances, including at Aeschbacher , the ZDF Fernsehgarten and the morning show FOX and Friends .
After his internship in the gourmet restaurant “Motto del Gallo” at Taverne, he decided to become a chef. Under the leadership of the star chef Antonio Colaianni, he completed his apprenticeship in the Gault Millau restaurant il Casale in Wetzikon in 2012 , followed by two more years in the Kitchen des Colors .
Professional career
From February 2013 David was in the service of the Pontifical Swiss Guard , where he wrote his third cookbook, Buon Appetito , which achieved international success. In autumn 2016, Apéro Riche was published - small snacks preserve friendship .
In order to make cooking and nutrition accessible to a younger audience, David Geisser started his own YouTube channel and various campaigns in Eastern Switzerland in collaboration with Micarna . Since October 2016, Geisser has been presenting simple recipes and lots of interesting facts about cooking in the "It's Cooking Time" format.
Cooking studio
With his own cooking studio in Wermatswil , Geisser pursues his approach of bringing enjoyment and healthy food closer to people. Currently (2020) he works as a gastrotester and shoots the cooking show “Choche & Gnüsse” for TVO in his own studio .
