David Ivry
David Ivry ( Hebrew דוד עברי; * 1934 in Gedera ) is an Israeli diplomat and former Commander in Chief of the Israeli Air Force .
Ivry joined the Israeli Air Force in 1952. From October 1977 to December 1982 he was the ninth commander in chief of the Israeli Air Force. 1999 awarded him the Bar-Ilan University , the honorary doctorate .
From 2000 to 2002 he was the Israeli ambassador to the United States . In 2003 he became President of Boeing Israel.
