David Jaffe

David Jaffe (born December 1, 1973 in Birmingham , Alabama ) is an American video game designer .

Education

Jaffe attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles . At first he wanted to become a director with his studies, but couldn't and went to Sony .

Career

Initially as a tester at SCEA , he later developed the popular twisted metal games . In 2005 his greatest success to date appeared with the action adventure God of War . The game was named the best PS2 game of all time by the well-known game portal IGN .

Jaffe was also creative director in continuing God of War II, but left the post of Cory Barlog Game Director, as Jaffe same time to be PS3 - Racing Calling all cars! for the PlayStation Network .

In late July 2007, Sony Computer Entertainment of America announced that David Jaffe was leaving to join Incognito Studios' Scott Campbell to lead Eat Sleep Play. The company's first game is a PS2 version of Twisted Metal: Head On, a PSP game.

On February 7, 2012 it was announced that David Jaffe is leaving the development studio Eat Sleep Play and intends to concentrate on his own projects in the casual game area in the future.

Private

Jaffe is married with two children and lives in San Diego .
