David Jansen (director)

David Jansen (born January 7, 1981 in Wipperfürth ) is a Cologne-based film director , animator , illustrator and screenwriter .

Life

Jansen initially completed vocational training as a process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology. From 2006 to 2013 he studied animation at the Art Academy for Media Cologne and successfully completed his studies. His debut film Däwit had its world premiere at the 65th Berlinale in 2015 and was shown at over 200 festivals worldwide. His current animation film Blau premiered at the 68th Berlinale in 2018.
